Terms of Service
Last updated: May 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of STL Diff Online (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. They're written to be readable, not to be impressive.
The Service
STL Diff Online lets you compare two STL files in your browser. The free tier provides a single-page comparison tool that runs entirely client-side; we do not receive or store your files.
Intellectual property
You keep every right to your STL files. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to claim. The site itself — the layout, the diff implementation, the wordmark — is owned by us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to overwhelm, probe, or disrupt the Service (e.g. flooding our public endpoints).
- Use automated tools to submit feedback messages or waitlist signups.
- Use the Service for anything illegal under the laws of your jurisdiction.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We work hard to make the diff engine correct, but we don't guarantee that it is bug-free or fit for any specific engineering decision. Don't use the output as the sole basis for a manufacturing or safety-critical choice without independent verification.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is free to use, and our total liability to you is limited to that — zero.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also pause or shut down the Service. We'll try to give notice on the home page if a major change is coming.
Premium tier
Joining the Premium waitlist does not create a paid account and does not commit you (or us) to anything. When Premium launches, separate paid terms will apply at that point only if you choose to subscribe.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Entire agreement
These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
